The other day, during one of my sessions, my client and I began talking about her nutrition, and in turn her progress (which has been phenomenal–changes from the inside out:)) Anyway, we were talking about how difficult it is for some women to understand the concept of eating more to lose, when we come from a diet-crazy society that restricts calories and forces the body into famine, which may result in some initial weight loss, but catapults the body right back into fat storage, weight gain, lowered energy levels and less intense workouts and also a broken down immune system. So why do we keep doing it?

Of course I am not talking about eating more of the greasy, fat-laden foods that are calorically dense with no nutritional value…yes, pizza and french fries, I am referring to you! But making sure to have the right balance and the right kinds of macronutrients, think your proteins, carbohydrates, and YES, FATS too, is completely foundational to your health and fitness goals.

Common foods that are rich in healthy fats include nuts, oils and fruits such as avocados. Often times though, it can be difficult to optimize the ratios of these important fats needed to decrease body fat, keep your lean tissue intact and stay healthy and energized.

So what’s a girl to do?

  • CLA, known as Conjugated Linoleic Acid is a naturally occurring fatty acid. Studies have indicated that CLA’s benefits are numerous. Check it out:
  • CLA can help to decrease your body fat by inhibiting the activity of the enzyme lipoprotein lipase (LPL)
  • CLA can also help to stimulate the actual breakdown of fatty acids in your body (this process is known as lipolysis)
  • CLA has been tied to various reductions in breast cancer rates, cardiovascular disease (which is a major health concern for women in particular), type 2 diabetes, osteoporosis and even certain allergies
  • CLA has shown to increase basal metabolic rates and to alter muscle to fat ratios

CLA can be found in foods such as dairy, meats and cheeses, but there is not enough of this important fatty acid in these food sources to benefit the body, and the amount of these foods you would have to eat to meet the desired amount is not at all recommended.  In comes BeautySlender, which will take all the guesswork out of maximizing the proper ratios of these important fatty acids.

BeautySlender contains CLA, but it also adds a 1-2 punch by including your other key Essential Fatty Acids (EFAs) that your body cannot produce on its own, which comprises the Omegas 3-6-9 in the perfect ratio. These fatty acids, along with the CLA support healthy hormone function, thyroid and adrenal activity, increased immune function and decreases in inflammatory responses in the body.

Okay, so you have all the facts, but speaking as an athlete, the above benefits are crucial in order to stay at the top of our competitive game. Keeping immune function strong keeps our training on track, and growth and repair processes primed. Of course decreases in body fat support overall health and performance and keep us looking lean and mean, and the combination of these fatty acids help to keep our brain and nervous system functioning optimally; think the neuromuscular connection needed to perform certain lifts, improve balance and agility and overall coordination.

Recommended Usage

The optimal recommended amount of CLA is 3.4 grams a day, and BeautySlender contains 1,000mg. Therefore, taking 2 capsules of BeautySlender twice a day will help you to meet this recommended amount.

Attention: You should always consult your doctor before beginning any new nutritional or supplemental regime.
