Garcinia Cambogia is a fruit whose roots can be traced to India, Southeast Asia, Central/West Africa, and Indonesia.
The rind is considered the most useful part of the plant and is rich in Hydroxycitric Acid. This acid, also known as HCA is isolated from the fruit due to its potential abilities to support reductions in body fat composition, specifically accumulation in the abdominal area. Other potential benefits include increases in overall energy production, increases in mood and wellbeing, and reductions in appetite sensations. Some studies also indicate that Garcinia Cambogia can specifically reduce the fat tissue that accumulates due to the body’s inability to metabolize carbohydrates efficiently.
This fruit also contains phytochemical called xanthones, which have been studied for the profile of antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties.
