BeautyOmega® Is Essential To Our Body & Delicious!
Omega-3 fatty acids is an essential fatty acid that is a crucial component in the structure and function of each cell in our body. it is a fact that our body needs Omega 3 from infancy to elderly age to function.
Research shows that omega-3 fatty acids reduce inflammation and may help lower risk of chronic diseases such as heart disease, cancer, and arthritis. Omega-3 fatty acids are highly concentrated in the brain and appear to be important for cognitive (brain memory and performance) and behavioral function. In fact, infants who do not get enough omega-3 fatty acids from their mothers during pregnancy are at risk for developing vision and nerve problems. Symptoms of omega-3 fatty acid deficiency include fatigue, poor memory, dry skin, heart problems, mood swings or depression, and poor circulation.
BeautyOmega® Key Ingredient
Alpha Lipoic Acid (ALA) Alpha lipoic acid is a superior anti-inflammatory that penetrates all portions of the cell because it is both fat and water soluble. In the metabolic cycle, alpha lipoic acid acts as a coenzyme in the production of energy by converting carbohydrates into energy (ATP). Alpha lipoic acid is the only antioxidant that can boost cellular levels of glutathione, the body’s most important antioxidant to overall health and longevity. In addition to its function as a powerful antioxidant/anti-inflammatory, alpha lipoic acid increases the body’s ability to take glucose into the cells. This increased sensitivity to insulin results in decreased blood sugar levels and accelerated weight loss.

Why Are Omega-3's Especially Important During Pregnancy?
Omega-3's have been found to be essential for both neurological and early visual development of the baby. However, the standard western diet is severely deficient in these critical nutrients. This Omega-3 dietary deficiency is compounded by the fact that pregnant women become depleted in Omega-3's, since the fetus uses Omega-3's for its nervous system development.
Omega-3's are also used after birth to make breast milk. With each subsequent pregnancy, mothers are further depleted. Research has confirmed that adding EPA and DHA to the diet of pregnant women has a positive effect on visual and cognitive development of the child, and studies have also shown that higher consumption of Omega-3's may reduce the risk of allergies in infants.
Omega-3 fatty acids can also have positive effects on the pregnancy itself. Increased intake of EPA and DHA has been shown to prevent pre-term labor and delivery, lower the risk of pre-eclampsia, and may increase birth weight and gestational weight. Omega-3 deficiency also increases the mother's risk for depression. This may explain why postpartum mood disorders may become worse and begin earlier with subsequent pregnancies.
Given the overwhelming amounts of data on Omega-3's, and their safety, it is distressing to note that, in a 2006 national survey, over two-thirds of pregnant women and mothers said that their doctor never told them anything about Omega-3's.
Can I Get Too Much Omega-3?
This is very unlikely. Most people are at risk of getting too little Omega-3, not too much. You would have to eat excessive amounts of foods with Omega-3 before it would be detrimental to your health.
To promote optimal health, consume the amount of Omega-3 recommended by your doctor, registered dietitian/nutritionist or other qualified health professional.
What Types Of "Blood Thinners" Should Not Be Taken With Omega-3 Oils?
It is okay to take over-the-counter medications like a daily aspirin regimen; however, do not take with prescription medications like Coumadin without first consulting with your physician.
