Gratitude Muscles

I know it can sound cliché when someone says ‘be grateful’ but it can honestly be a super tool in your life.

Just like anything else that you want to master, it takes practice. Gratitude is something that comes easily when things are going well but when life feels chaotic, it can be difficult to see the good but I guarantee it can take you back to a place of peace.

If you want to improve the quality of your life then take time to recognize that all the choices that we have are gifts. Once you accept this then you can be thankful for your gifts.

Gratitude turns what we have into enough and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos into order, confusion into clarity… It makes sense our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow. - Melody Beattie

How powerful is the quote above?! Being ungrateful is a scarcity mentality of lack- no matter what you have, its never enough. If this is you, I encourage you to slow down and take a moment to realize how abundant your life is and look at the little things that make it wonderful. Then and only then you could experience an overflow of gratefulness. Gratitude can change your attitude in a split second. Focus on what you do have. For example, I am grateful for my cats and all the joy they bring to my life.

If you are feeling anxious or stuck in fear around your body, finances, or relationships then you may want to get really specific about what you are thankful for. Take time today to write down 5 things that you are grateful for. If you want to take it a step further you can start a gratitude journal and use this exercise daily. Before you know it, you will notice a shift in your energy and become a magnet for blessings.

Here is an affirmation that you can use daily. Use this when you feel that sense of lack, comparison, or self attack. Take time to affirm that YOU ARE ENOUGH and that you have enough.

I am grateful for what I have, and I welcome all the gifts that this day will bring.

Work on flexing those gratitude muscles every day.

Exercising appreciation will make you stronger and attract more of what you want in your life!

Stay BeautyStrong.
